Join us for our upcoming virtual Nittany Lion Networking Breakfast on Thursday, June 23rd. This next installment will be hosted by Sophia Kyriakodis, class of 2000 and owner and co-founder of Emmanuel Insurance and Trinity Logistics, a logistics Company that works with Amazon. She will share her perspectives as an owner-operator of two small businesses.

A born entrepreneur, Sophia’s first business foray was a small candy company in her early 20s where she handmade and sold a family English Toffee Recipe. This was to complement her salary as an at-risk youth counselor. After a brief owner of as an Allstate agent, Emmanuel Insurance was born out of the idea that choice in insurance is paramount as she was unable to sell something she did not believe in. Emmanuel’s client-centric approach puts a premium on educating and counseling to bring peace of mind when it comes to their valuable assets: lives, family, business, and homes/autos. By creating a long-term strategy, they help commercial and personal clients not only protect what’s important to them, but grow their business as well. Sophia has also carefully constructed a culture at Emmanuel Insurance where employees are seen as family. It’s these foundational elements that she carried over to her most business venture – Trinity Logistics.
