Background

Failing at Being Disabled - A Conversation with Susan Robinson '94

Susan Robinson ‘94, joins us for a candid conversation about disabilities as we celebrate National Disability Awareness Employment Month. While a student at Penn State, Susan was diagnosed with genetic vision impairment and is legally blind. She will share her own personal story and the reasons she says she has failed at being disabled. Using an interview format, she will answer questions about succeeding at school and work, overcoming barriers, handling workplace issues including interviewing, and many other topics related to career and academic success. She also promises to share how she became a speaker at the UN and gave a TED Talk with over 1.5 million views! Susan graduated from Penn State in 1994 with a degree in Health Policy and Administration and currently lives in NYC.

Join us for a virtual networking event following the presentation.
