SPECIAL! Penn State Alumni & Friends Happy Hour Social

YORK vs LANCASTER: Chapter Challenge Do you enjoy helping Penn State students? Socializing with other Penn Staters? Meeting new people? Then put March 14 on your calendar! On that night, the York Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association has extended a challenge to the Lancaster Chapter to a food drive, in combination with our monthly happy hours. We will join forces with Lancaster to provide some necessary non-perishable goods for the Lion Pantry, the student-run food bank that serves the students at the University Park campus. The challenge is two parts: which chapter can get the most people to attend, and which chapter can donate the most food. Pick up your food stuffs, and bring them to McCleary’s Irish Pub in Marietta, at 6 PM on March 14. Dick Booth, a member of both of our chapters, has volunteered to take all of the donations to State College. Let’s make sure that he needs to make multiple trips! There is a list of needed items HERE and on our website for your convenience. If you cannot attend the event and would still like to help the chapter with a donation, you can drop your items off at the Bradley Building of the York Campus of PSU, and we will make sure that your donation is delivered. Socials begin around 6:00 p.m. All alumni, friends, faculty, staff are welcome to join us – network / socialize! Drinks and meals are your responsibility. This is a joint effort with the PSAA York and Lancaster County Chapters and the Penn State York Alumni Society.
