Disconnect to Reconnect: How to Cope with Environmental Factors that Impact Your Wellbeing

Join us for a panel discussion on the environmental factors that affect our overall health and wellness, along with positive ways to improve our well-being. In addition, you will hear about how hospitals and health systems are working to decrease nursing burnout and increase resiliency.

Penn State's Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing is approved with distinction as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association Approver Unit, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. This Nursing Continuing Professional Development program has been submitted for 1.0 contact hours for participants who hold a valid RN license and attend the entire program; partial contact hours are not awarded.

Information about the panelists:

Fallon Hughes, DNP, RN, NPD-BD | '15g, '20g NUR is the director of Nursing Education and Professional Development at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. She will discuss what health care systems, in particular Hershey Medical Center, and institutions are doing to promote nursing wellbeing and resilincey.

Greg Moran, RN, MBA, PHRN, NEA-BC | '12 NUR is a clinical executive with TeleTracking. He will discuss general environmental factors that effect one's overall well-being.

Danielle Brueningsen, '14 HHD is a wellness instructor and certified Buti Yoga Instructor. She will discuss and provide examples of positive coping techniques and strategies that help during times of stress.
